Our passion for serving great food began in 2004, when we opened our first sandwich shop in Bend, Oregon. We loved feeding our community, and after moving to Arizona in 2017, the dream of running another food business stayed with us. For years, we talked about launching a mobile kitchen and waited for the right time to bring that dream back to life.
 
In June 2026, we decided it was finally time. We bought a classic cargo trailer and spent months rebuilding it from the ground up, transforming it into High Desert Grind & Grill.
 
If you’ve visited the North Scottsdale Farmers Market before, you may recognize us. We once sold our custom horseshoes and American flags here, and now we’re excited to return to the same neighborhood—this time serving fresh food and drinks.
 
High Desert Grind & Grill is 100% locally family owned and operated. We’re a husband-and-wife team working alongside our daughter. When you stop by, Ben is at the grill pressing hot paninis, Ruschel is taking orders, and our daughter Jazlynn is making coffee at the espresso machine. We created this mobile kitchen to bring simple, delicious food and great coffee to our neighborhood, and we’d love to see you. Come by for a bite, grab a drink, and say hello—we’re so happy to be back!
